Rosie ODonnell Buys $5 Million Florida Beachfront Home

Former The View host Rosie ODonnell purchased a new Florida home for $5 million after selling her Miami Beach mansion last year for $16.5 million.
The 4,647-square-foot house was built in 1998 and was renovated in 2009. It is located on Casey Key, a barrier island off the Gulf Coast of Florida. The former owners were William and Donna Brian who bought the property in 2005 for $4.6 million.
It features four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, pool loggia with cypress paneling, spa, tongue and groove ceilings, imported French oak floors and state-of-the-art kitchen which boasts of two built-in Sub-Zero wine colors, built-in Miele coffee station and two Miele dishwashers. There is also an outdoor kitchen with large screen television and bar area, fenced yard and manicured dunes.
The house has a covered boat slip for a 36-foot-long boat whenever one wants to do fishing and kayaking. The open floor plan gives you views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico.
The TV host, actor and comedian once considered buying Olivia Newton-Johns Palm Beach home but reconsidered after the contractor committed suicide inside the home.
The $5 million hefty price is considered the highest paid for a home on Cedar Key this year.
